Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
Orthopaedic Surgery is a discipline of surgery that is concerned with the axial and appendicular skeleton and its related structures. There are various subspecialties or subdivisions including fractures, arthritides, soft tissue processes, tumors, metabolic conditions, paediatric orthopaedics, hand and spine surgeries, sports injuries, congenital and acquired conditions. Orthopaedic problems can be a source of great misery for a patient. Due to lack of awareness and access, significant number of patients especially in the rural areas are mismanaged by quakes. The Orthopaedic department in this hospital aims to fill the gap of much needed services for the population in the surrounding areas.
Facilities:
Trauma, fracture management(open and closed fractures), orthoplasties, arthroscopy, spine and paediatric orthopaedic surgeries specially deformity corrections.
