The Department comprises of Division of Internal Medicine with a total of 75 inpatient beds. Additionally has Divisions of Cardiology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Neurology and Gastroenterology. The department is in synchrony with two medical ICUs. The Department is represented both in Hameed Latif Teaching Hospital & Hameed Latif Hospital. Out-Patient departments are present in both these hospitals.
The Department’s Facilities include a CCU, cath lab, echocardiography, ECG stress testing, video gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing. Facility for haemodialysis and other nephrology related facilities are also in house.
The Department has a dedicated teaching faculty with both wisdom and passion for Teaching& Training. The department takes pride in providing a first-class bedside teaching. The faculty is wellaware of all learning and teaching tools and applies intheir teaching methodologies. There is an in- house programme for training the trainers.
The Department is both patient and student friendly. We encourage the students to ask questions and develop research curiosity. We routinely take student feedback in an effort to improve our systems. The faculty is trained in mentorship and keenly looks forward to provide guidance and professional help as well has assists the graduates to find suitable training opportunities inland and overseas.

Spacious and modern lecture theatres, small group demonstration rooms and Faculty Offices.
