1. Preparing and revising guidelines for human subject research at RLKU, aligning with standards set by the Pakistan National Ethics Committee.
2. Advising RLKU and its affiliates on bioethical issues.
3. Reviewing all research proposals involving human participants intended to be conducted in Pakistan.
4. Engaging with national bodies such as the Pakistan Medical and Research Council (PMRC) National Research Ethics Committee and the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council to support education and training in bioethics.
5. Investigating allegations of scientific misconduct in research and issuing appropriate recommendations.
